#2358 The Fox, Small Dole - An Angel and Bouncer team-up saw the hash r*nning from The Fox. For those who had only hashed with BH7 since 2017 this would be an unfamiliar pub as the last time the hash had visited was #1964 (8th February 2016) on what had become an infamous 'out and back hash' by Peter Pansy and Penguin Shagger, sadly neither of whom were in attendance. And so the hash set off, crossing Henfield Road and headed S before turning E up past Small Dole's football ground Pavilion and into the woods. Trail continued, twisting N then E and finally back S before the field. Continuing on, the pack split a little but with true trail founder most hashers continued on trail, with short-cutting observed from Keeps It Up and Private Dancer, appearing suddenly from a path to the left. Trail continued S / SE / E out into the fields, passing Browns Meadow, over the track, N at the end of the field (following footpath) and back over the track. Trail followed the footpath to another track, turning E and following tree-line around to the N then W and S at the end, effectively doing a big 2km (1 1/4mile) loop and back to the track. Track followed W / N and turning off onto footpath at the house and back into open fields. It was here that Bonking Queen starting calling for Knocky (the dog) who had run off and couldn't be seen. As the pack joined in the search, the poor pooch, quiet as always, continued his impromptu gain of hide-and-seek... Knocky, it transpired, had fallen down in the stream and managed to get wedged under a tree branch! With BQ and dog reunited, the hash continued on trail NW until Hascombe Farm Equestrian Centre, turning W then S and back towards Small Dole. Turning W just before Sands Ln, onto Tottington Dr and immediately back S then W on Sands Ln where the trail would lead across the NW corner of Small Dole football ground onto the footpath and straight out onto the pub. Back in the pub, Nasty Nips called hash hush, thanking everyone for attending and noting that today was Earth Day, plenty of which had been found as Angel and Bouncer's trail had been fair with shiggy through-out. And with that, Angel and Bouncer were called up for the first DD, held to tune of "20 Toes". Next up, Four Skins (who NN had invited along) was called up as a BH7 virgin; FS had previously hashed during his time in Nigeria and Russia, but never in the UK! With FS asked if it was hard enough, long enough, who made him come and would he come again (with answers Yes, Yes, himself and maybe), DD was held to "His One Skin". Last of the DDs would see ZZ Topless called up (for arriving late and then getting lost on trail, never joining the main pack), PD and KIU for blatant SCBing, and BQ for losing Knocky; DDs to the tune of "You're Stupid". And finally, Just Ant was called up for a naming; after talking about REM sleep one name suggested courtesy of the walkers was WD40 (Wet Dreams 40 w*nks), whereas another was Blue Bell-end (after being heard to exclaim his foot was blue and the seasonal bluebells). Put to the hash, Blue Bell-end was a clear winner, and so BBE found his on knees before the RA, beer and paper scraps on head, and rewarded with his DD (RA note: I forgot to record the ditty here!). And with that, a toast was held To The Hash. And so closed another great hash. - Nasty Nips
